Exciting new hub for the Blue Mountains
The Parke Street Development, Katoomba, is an exciting new hub for the Blue Mountains, with a design that will result in a landmark building inspired by the outstanding setting of the World Heritage Mountains.
The project, on the former TAFE site on Parke Street in Katoomba, is a collaborative enterprise between the State Government, Blue Mountains City Council and Coles Group Limited. This significant development will provide the Blue Mountains region with:
- The Blue Mountains Cultural Centre precinct featuring a regional City Art Gallery, World Heritage Interpretive Centre, a theatrette, a multi-purpose workshop, public art courtyards, gallery shop and café, a new public library, and undercover parking.
- A modern retail development including a Coles Supermarket and specialty shops and basement carparking for over 300 cars.
A strong and singular character is intended for the whole of the development to ensure it has a recognised presence as a significant civic and public place within the Blue Mountains.
This project website will be regularly expanded and updated with current information and also provides a contact facility for your further enquiry or comment.
